It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Redbourn Cricket Club Vice President Hugh Green aged 73. Hugh died on Friday 27th March at the Luton & Dunstable Hospita, we understand as a result of Covid-19.
Only a few weeks ago he was at Harry Hobbs’ memorial service in the village. Hugh came from a Redbourn family, his father Cyril was a former Club President and the family donated the clock that adorns the front of the pavilion.
In his playing days Hugh was a top order batsman and a first team regular for many years, having first played for the Club as a junior.
We send our sincere condolences to the Green family.

Chairman
