We had a great U11s vs U10s match this evening at the rec. U11s batted first with the Cook brothers setting a solid foundation - an unbroken partnership of 38 in 6 overs before both retiring. Ramsey and Austin also batted responsibly, both retiring not out. Some good experience in the middle for a number of our batsmen and Henry added a bit of flair at the end to take our total to 102-4.

In response the U10s were well placed at 49-2 after half their overs. Our bowling in the first half was too much down the leg side and we conceded too many extras. However, a decent performance in the field resulted in 4 run outs - good work from all, but notably Teddy, Matthew and a good catch from Ben. We bowled better in the last 10 overs and great to see all respond to some pressure. To their credit the U10s took it to the last over needing 16 to win … they fell 4 short. So a good win and a great game - some much needed match experience and a great level of energy and support for each other in the field.
