Excellent all round team performance this evening away at Welwyn. We batted first with Ramsey and captain for the day Mattie J opening the innings - a sensible, cautious start before then building what would prove to be a solid platform with opening stand of 41. Matthew A, Zac and John Cook continued the momentum to support an above par 127-4. In the field we showed great energy - pleasing to see the learnings from training being put into practice - alert, walking in and it paid dividends as we held 6 catches. Rory and Ellis opened the bowling and set the tone taking a wicket each, wickets also for Ramsey, Matthew and Henry. Pick of the bowlers were Xander 2-6 and Austin 1-0 (2 maidens). A convincing win with Welwyn Garden City on 66-9 from their 20 overs, but more important was the team spirit demonstrated throughout the game.
